We will be running a shuttle to the Antique Trap Exhibit (about 5miles away)

Demo’s all day starting at 8:00am

1pm will have a 1 on 1 – Novice and Beginner Trappers with an Experienced Trapper 1 hr. Minimum (trappers bring your equipment to mentor)

At least 4 Fund Raisers with proceeds to the KFHA. ( Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, At least 3 spins on the wheel- Bait & Lure package- Trapping Package- Guns and Ammo)

All Food and Beverages by Donation to District 16 KFHA

Will grill Hamburgers and Hot Dogs Friday Night along with Chili and Trappers Stew(other wise known as "Road Kill Stew")
Breakfast: Biscuits and Gravy
Lunch: Pulled Pork, Ham and Beans, chips
Supper: (5:00 pm) Fish, Potatoes, Beans, Cole Slaw, & Desert

After Supper will have a Trappers Round Table around the Camp Fire

Followed by Blue Grass entertainment by a local family

Hey Fellows this is not an individual effort. There are many District 16 members helping make this happen. Lynn Dunham and Mike Puckett to name a couple who helped with the planning and are doing a lot of the leg work. There will be many members helping with it. Hope to see you all there. John

The notice says that tailgaters are welcome, so it seems to me anyone can bring items for sale, just maybe not inside. It is at John's residence, so I don't know if there is any inside space for setting up, but hopefully John will let you know specifics.

Here is what we decided to do. We are limiting it to one supply vendor. We have no room for others. Other vendors that have inquired we have told them they are welcome to bring there baits, lure, books, DVD's and any speciality items and set up as tailgaters. They can also advertise that they will be here and bring orders for delivery. We don't know what else to do since we are limited in space. From the intrest I have seen, I believe we are going to have a heck of a crowd. Talked to Lynn awhile a go and he is going to cook a pot of ham & beans for dinner also. Hope to see you all here. Yep, Donna will come and bring lures/baits/merchandise. We can sure put together orders prior and she can bring them. PM them to us.

I don't know if I can attend yet as she and I are both headed, the weekend prior, to Washington DC for the national day of prayer and repentance, on the Washington Mall, September 25 & 26th! I can't be away from seminary studies too awfully long, but if there's anyway to come up I sure will. I'll know more as we get closer, but Donna is for sure coming.

For any of the supply dealers who are coming, it really helps us know what to pack aboard during events like this, when you call ahead and place your order, so the dealer can get it all set the way you need it.

Mark, is Donna bringing a supply of your various lures and baits, or is she JUST bringing what folks call and order ahead of time? Just making sure I'm clear on it.

We have orders coming in PLUS she is bringing lures/baits/merchandise also.

I’ll be there!! That should do it. Lol Looking forward to it and seeing friends and making new ones.

If there's any way I can make it up I sure will. Donna and our oldest grandson Cameron are coming for sure, and have orders in hand for those who have placed them. We're headed to Washington DC the weekend prior for the day of repentance and prayer in front of the White House, so I'm not sure I can take two weekends off studies. I'm trying to make a go of it.

Oh wait, John says the FM is a trapper, and he's gonna come too!
Come to think about it, it's gonna be hard to take all Pawnee's $$$ in the lure/bait transaction, with the 6' rule.

The crowd is growing. Went to Missouri's convention last weekend and they had a great show as usual. Lot's of interest of folks there coming to Kansas.

We will be giving door prizes throughout the day and we are also having a silent auction. We have donations for both. If you have something you would like to add to either just bring them along. All revenue goes to the Kansas Fur Harvesters.

We have a antique trap display about 5 miles from my house. A church in town is loaning us their 15 passenger van so we can shuttle folks back forth if they want to go. Getting closer every day.

Called an order in to Jeb to bring for me. Looking forward to seeing people, I guarantee it will be a great time.

It looks like our “One on One”, Novice with Experienced Trapper program is really taking off. This is a request and a reminder to trappers that want to mentor a novice to remember to bring your equipment and sign up when you arrive. Here’s how it will work. When a novice signs up they will draw a mentors name from the can, he will then be able to get with his mentor ahead of time and talk about what he would like to cover. This will give him time to prepare thoughts and equipment he will need. If someone needs some mething they did not bring I know we can come up with it.
This could be the most valuable and rewarding event of the day. Please help us make it a success. Thanks, the district 16 gang

Just got back from John"s place. We are ready for next Saturday. Good food , Talk to old friends ,make new friends, buy supplies,. I can"t say anything more see you there.

My son and me are going to come to the get together with our friend The Blak Spot and his sons.

Appleroadlures.com is donating a half /gallon each of Bobcatmeat and Horsemeat Predator bait, plus one each of Appleroad famous 4 oz. coyote gland, bobcat gland , Fox gland, LDC and Cp 007 food lures. It is as I understand to be a package on the Wheel spin fund raiser. Retail value is $210.00.
FYI we now have our Predator baits in half gallon jugs as well as the original pints and gallons.

I left before the music was done. Just flat got sleepy. Food was great. People were great. I believe a good time was had by all. Saw Robert Wadell's demo. Definitely informative. Lots of stuff for sale.

Got home about an hour ago, with my little land shark in tow! Those that were there will understand. Want to thank John and dist 16 for putting this all together, and thank all who purchased our products while there! Great people, food and intertainment, hope we do it again, soon!

I would like to thank everyone involved with this get together. It was the first one I have been too, but it won’t be the last. Everyone was top notch!
My son had a great time and we both learned a lot and are looking forward to our first full season trapping.

Things are back to normal, that is if I new what normal was to begin with.
I am glad everyone enjoyed the weekend and am thankful for the weather.
A lot of people worked hard to put this together and sometimes those behind the scenes don't get the recognition they deserve. I know I will leave people out and I apologize ahead of time. Two people instrumental in making this weekend happen is Lynn Dunham director of district 16 and Mike Puckett Treasurer, these guys were the backbone of this event. Lynn's wife Debbie & my wife Sandy helped out with the food and getting it all set up and cleanup. Two people that I know we couldn't have pulled this off without are my 2 daughters Amanda and Andrea, I have got to be the proudest man around when these girls jump in and help without being ask they are always there and you can always depend on them. I had a couple of people come up to me and say "Don't you every come to a convention unless you bring those girls, I wish we had help like that."

I also want to thank all those who hung around till Sunday morning to help clean up and put stuff away. We made short work on it and was done in no time.

But, most of all Sandy and I want to thank all who attended and the respect that was showed for our home, Sandy mentioned more that once how things were taken care of and trash picked up. When I walked through the pasture where we parked there was not one piece of trash, the same with the yard and graveled area. (the cardboard box in the play area was another story, but the fun the kids had with it was worth much more than a couple of minutes to it pick up). I don't believe you could host 200 plus people from any other group with the same outcome. Thanks again to everyone and hope that next year will be a little more normal. John & Sandy Borror
