Pioneer Traps - 08/31/20 04:25 PM

I’ve never been impressed with Pioneer traps as far as quality. I was cleaning up some traps I bought awhile back and came across some Pioneer #11’s. They seem to be much better traps than any other Pioneers that I’ve had my hands on in the past. I tried looking them up in 3 different trap books, and I find no mention of Pioneer 11’s.
Anybody have any knowledge or experience with them?

I once had about 4 dozen Pioneer 1.5 coil springs and they were great. Caught lots of nutria with them.

Korean made if I'm not mistaken.

Never owned any #11 Pioneer DLS traps but did buy a dozen brand new 1 1/2 LS Stoploss traps back at a State convention. First fall caught a dandy buck mink that paid for the dozen taps and since have caught 100's of muskrats with them. They are still going strong and I wish now I would have bought 10 dozen of that trap!

I bought and sold a big pile of Pioneers at one time. Needed a place to store them, seemed appropriate, lol.
