My thoughts exactly, I would of pushed off buying a new truck for another year if I could find a first gen this clean.

I'm not much of a dodge fan but a Cummins with that low of miles and in that good of shape might cause some regrets. But you probably someone out there pretty happy to own a truck like that.

That truck is in good shape pretty rare to find one like that, most with the Cummins here were beat to death rebuilt and beat again till either the body gave out or they caved the frame.

Too bad they put weak transmissions between the Cummins and the rear axle. The automatics cooked and the 5 spd manual would loose the snap ring on the output shaft allowing 5th gear to slide back, turning the trans into a 4 speed. between Dodge trucks and Chrysler minivans I made a pile of money when I was a transmission technician at the car dealer. Those Cummins when tweaked can sure make some power.

We need a picture of the Chevy you chose over that one for sure. You guys without road salt and corrosion sure have it nice. I have never saw a 10 year old native truck around here that clean.

This one won't get any thumbs up like the Dodge did , but it gets the job done much better .

The motor in the Dodge was bone stock , she needed turned up to pull my camp trailer effectively.

The stock tranny and clutch would have required a few grand to handle any extra power.

I felt like it should be left alone ( stock ) and enjoyed by a Dodge lover . I believe it may be available soon , after some detailing , if anyone here is serious I'll check it out

Used Duramax with 4200 miles
