Tracy Truman’s Silvervine

Tracy Truman’s Silvervine - 09/01/20 09:22 PM

Haven’t seen much posted on it for a while. I just made a little review and let my two domesticated killing machines loose on it. I’ll have to get it back out this season. I don’t think I used it last season and my cat catch showed it.

I haven't used that product is it made for rub sets?

I’d use it as a rub set primarily Leftlane. I don’t think I’d ever leave it on the ground. The first instinct of every cat I’ve had on camera is to smell it then rub/roll on it. Here’s Tracy’s website looks like it’s on sale. One bag which is $10 can make an awful amount of tea bags. Some of them have played around with it in formulations and it seems to lose its punch easily. I never messed with mixing it. Just a straight pinch in a bag. Eye appeal and whatever appeal you want to call it I’d say euphoric for the silvervine.

Interesting stuff! I wonder why you couldn't use it to lace some castor and smear it up side a post?

I should add I wish I’d got the camera going sooner I didn’t think they’d wind it as fast as they did. Had both cats rolling, snarling, hissing, and going at it right at my feet. They live together in harmony most days. It was quite the show.

If I remember right someone had mixed it with olive oil or vegetable oil and not lost all its potency. It really doesn’t seem to need any additives though. It stands alone pretty well.

I am convinced cats have better noses than most trappers think

It can be mixed with olive oil, petro and a few other substances (I can't remember off hand). I know when mixed with alchohol or alchohol based substances it deteriorates. I had similar reactions with cats as Wade showed, didn't use it trapping cats as my cat market is nonexistent. Best of luck

There is a lot of Silvervine for sale at various places but this is the best I have found.
My cat Gets absolutely stoned on it -- doesn't take very much.
