trail cam pic of me running from ground bees

So i was down at my little hunting hole doing some trimming and bushhogging getting ready for deer season. I was following the tractor with my loppers trimming bushes out from the road and my trail cam caught quite the pics today.
Here goes the tractor down the road first to stir the ground bees up and just enough time for them to calm down before i wander down there

here i come stumbing around chopping things down.

and there i go right back up the hill lol


I had to drive back down there to get the sunglasses i slapped off my head trying to get the bee that was stinging me right in the temple. I got lucky and only got stung 3 times. But man they hurt. especially dead in the temple. The others got me on the ankle. I have gotten into those and yellow jackets enough that as soon as i heard the buzz and felt the pop i just turned and hung another gear outta there. Here are a few more pics of the spot.

You was high-steppin it outta there! Dang little bumblebees in ground nests are my worst fear.

I wish my buddy had got video of me when I got into some. I'm sure it would have been entertaining, those things chased me a city block. I started slowing down, he hollered don't slow down now, they're still on ya! Got me 8 times, but after the swelling went down, I was laughing pretty hard he didn't wait that long to start laughing

My buddy in the tractor with an air conditioned sealed cab really stood up on that nest with the bushhog and pushed some bushes back with the bucket. He didnt notice them. I came through about 10 min later and they were ready for blood.

the side of my head is still a little swollen and sore all the way to my eyeball. next time i visit im gonna have a couple gallons of diesel.

Been there done that. I stepped down into a nest about a year ago. 15 stings later, 2 benadryl, a nap in my recliner, I went back to the nest with 5 gallons of diesel and a gallon of gas, they left in a mushroom cloud and took that cedar stump with them that they were guarding... my Mrs still giggles every now and then.... I do too...

Yellow jacket got me in the the temple few years ago. Felt like somebody smacked me with a 2x4. I feel for ya

I hate those things. I've had 'em try to take my squirrels away from me when hunting early in the season. Seems like they get much more aggressive during the fall.
I've hit 'em while bush hog'n with the tractor - I hit any high road gear and bounce my way outa there with the throttle wide open!!

I had a paper wasp nest Inside my tractor cab...Yeah.. that was Not fun! Good thing we don't have a video of my run to TV he porch!

Oh and it looks like you move well for a big man. PCR2's idea about an Olympic sport has some merit- if nothing else the videos would go viral on youtube!

I mowed up a yellow jacket nest a few years back and got hit about 2 dozen times before i jump over enough pine trees to get away from them. They were tangled up in my leg hair. it was a mess. Im glad the mower just sat there idling when i got off.
