Best day of deer hunting ever !

Yesterday was opening day of NC bow season and I've been planning to take my boys who are 8 & 10yrs old and hopefully put them on some bucks. Well I made them draw straws to see who shoots first and the 8 yr old won so he was up first. At 7:45 we had a 7pt come in and he made a great shot, and then I took my oldest yesterday evening and about 30 mins before dark a nice 8pt came in and he made a great shot too. He also was using his own crossbow that he worked and saved all summer for. Very proud of both of them

That is a great deer season. I know that having to pick who gets first shot very well. My boys are also 8 and 10. Congrats dad you are making memories that will last them the rest of their life. they will tell their kids and grand kids stories about hunting with you when they were young.

Great job - they will never forget it. My son still retells the story of our hunt 20 years ago when he got his first buck. He was about their age then. Congrats all the way around.
