So I was cutting this tree down and......

Friend of mine asked me to do some tree work for him. He had a couple trees that had snapped a few months ago in a storm we had here. Lots of broken tops. Got up on a ladder about 8-10 feet off the ground and proceeded to cut it where it had snapped. As I am running the chainsaw at full bore , I see this mouse pop out right near the cracked/splintered area. Apparently it had made a nest 10 feet up this tree.




I ended up finishing my cut and looked inside. Unfortunately for the mouse it now has to find a new home. I've heard of people running into birds/squirrels homes in trees but this was unusual for me.

No mice were harmed making this post.....lol

i save that nesting material when I find it and use it as bait down my dirt-hole sets for canines.

If it has babies in it then put it in the freezer- it is even better

found a nest like that in the cabin filter on my truck today. the air intake was full of dog food theyd carried in there too.

But, you will have to take pills or your car will breakdown for doing such a thing.

truck is a 2010 tacoma. never had an issue til now.
