But the wrapper reads that they have been in business for 80 years.

X2

I did a Google search , apparently it has been out of production for 25 years and they just reintroduced it again.

I don't remember that either. Could it have been a regional thing?

It wasn't a big seller back in the day. You would only find them here or there in some stores. I only got them once in a while.

They sound like "Sugar Babies"... I loved them.. . I would take a shirt pocket full of them to school. In class I would pop one of them in my mouth, under my tongue and it would dissolve.

Not bad. Think of a sugar daddy with no stick , covered in chocolate. However , from what I read online is they stopped making them because they could not get them covered in chocolate like they used to. Now reformulated to be similar.

I don’t know yet. I like my candy to crunch so I froze them. Plan on trying it after dinner tonight.

We had them around the DC area in the 60’s and 70’s.
Maybe they dint get across the Bay to Hobbies area for some reason.

BUT Dad taught us a Black Cow was a glass with vanilla ice cream filled with coke. He was from central Pa coal mining country.
Most places called it a Float I learned later in life.

Weren't they usually next to the "slo poke" candy ? The Carmel on a stick that also held your teeth captive if you tried to bite off a chunk ?
