Frost at our house last week but not the last two cooler nights. My larger garden is 6 miles closer to the lake and has not been hit yet. I have pepper plants that don't have any frost damage and they are very, very sensitive to even light frost. I have some last tomatoes that I hope to get and my Brussel sprouts actually like this weather.
We had 27 to 29 degrees. My dog and chicken water never had ice but the windshields had plenty. I bet the beans that was was replanted in the flooded bottoms will turn black in a day or two.
This is the first one I encountered this season, it was in Washington state and occurred on August 30. However, it was at an elevation of 4400 feet. Still pretty early though.
Had our first frost several weeks ago. Now its back up to 50 and raining. Your hurricane winds are finally making up it this way. Fall storms again back over again.
