I wondered if this was a localized phenomenon or if it was being experienced nationwide. Did that many people forget to use their turn signal is something more going on here?

Where I grew up turn signals weren't necessary because everyone knew where everyone else was going.

I know where I am going and its none of yer business.

They don't even sell cars with them in Connecticut. At least I have never seen one.

Whenever there is a day that I feel unwanted and useless. I remind myself that somewhere in Germany, there is a person that puts turn signals on BMW's . Makes me feel better right away.

NY, NJ, drivers are fast, as long as you keep up it's ok, BUT..
visited the kids in Texas, Those folks are in another dimension!, can't park, never use turn signals, can't back up, drive 90 mph on a two lane country road full of twists and turns, and whoppdy doos,

Now I understand why the state puts up billboards with a running tally on vehicular deaths...

It seems to me that the more expensive the car the less the buyers choose the turn signal option.

And the guys that leave their left turn signal on all day with no intentions of ever turning....either a gang sign or Russia again....

was following 2 cops in an unmarked squad the other day , about 50% use of turn signals , maybe they were trying to blend in better.

We have a different problem, boat trailers with NO lights.

We don't have turn signals on our cahs, we have blinkers. Obviously, they are more of a suggestion than a requirement. And I don't know about NY or NJ, but RI has the worst driver's around here.

I understand you need to watch out for the Maine-iacs too! When I was welding in Berlin NH years ago, I kept hearing of these varmits. One morning, before daylight, I was driving into Maine to catch a flight home to take a break, and this guy in an old Rambler car with one headlight, passed me going up a long hill that was marked no passing, going like a streak of excrement! I thought maybe I had been told the truth about Maineiacs!
