October 18, 1867, Alaska was bought from Russia for 7.2 million dollars! Best deal ever.

Think that Russian America went all the way down the coast to California with Sitka as its capital. I've always wondered what the Pacific Northwest would look like if Russia had competent leadership.

but last I heard he was moving to Georgia to be a community organizer or something like that.

Dutch colonialists bought Manhattan island in 1626 for trinkets worth 60 guilders or about $24. I think we should ask for our money back. While we are at it , how much can we get for L.A. ?

So what happened to the Lenape Tribe after they sold Manhattan Island? Did they retire in Florida?

We got a lot of property from them for shiny beads and whiskey.Im not big on shiny beads but I like me some good whiskey.

That whiskey thing is still popular today. The little 1 oz bottles are all over the park on the ground.

Check out the prices on some cheaper types of alcohol. The nips (50ml) bottles are actually cheaper than the full size per OZ/ml. Just sayin.....

I don't know hard liquor at all. Busch Light is all I can handle. laugh
