I get them in my fur shed. They are a very destructive creature in there doing everything from knocking over lure bottles and packing off bobcat jaw samples to chewing on your hanging fur. They are not protected in Kentucky. Not uncommon to have six or eight at a time in the bird feeder on the porch at night. I actually like to have rat snakes around and in the shed.

They do have a remarkably soft fur. I believe they're protected here as well but occasionally have to go, they like to colonize in attics in cottage country. People thing they're rare being nocturnal.

They'll breed right back to their former level in no time.

Why did no one see 10,000 traps

We have them all over around here.
Have a family living right above my outdoor wood burner.

Don't wildlife officials have better things to do? In the fifty's and sixty's they would have been thanked for getting rid of some of the vermin. Next you won't be able to kill mice in your own house!

Flying squirrels are my favorite animal to control.

Colony traps work better with them than any other animal. They are calm, and can be handled by hand with out breaking the skin. We usually try to relocate. They're aren't a ton around here.
