UK Testing A Vaccine - 10/21/20 03:41 PM
Heard on the news this morning that the UK has developed a vaccine for COVID. There are volunteers who are willing to be infected and vaccinated with it. Wonder how much they're being paid?

Not the way I understand it. They do NOT have a vaccine. They are planning to inject the virus itself into healthy young people to determine what level of virus actually causes an infection.
They don't plan to use any vaccine candidates at this point.
They DO plan to treat those who become ill with Remdesivir.

Which would make sense. A vaccine wouldn't be effective on someone who already has the virus. Viruses are more like preventive maintenance. Still, are there people out there who would voluntarily take the virus into their bodies?

Apparently there are

They are being paid but only for the first 2.5 weeks. Doesn't sound worth it to me

Probably pays better than donating blood every few days for dope money.

British Blood Donors don't get paid.
As for this testing? I wouldn't know.

I have donated platelets and blood for over 54 years and never got paid. I do get some decent gifts at times when I cross another 5 gallon mark.
