It looks like a weasel. But it it a natural formation in the wood. Way cool. Got half a mind to cut it down then cut it out.

I was up in a tree stand in Maine one year for bear. Doing my best to become a statue and not move or flinch.i heard a squirrel moving around up above me in the tree. I didn't move. The squirrel came down the trunk and jumped onto my shoulder , still didn't move. The squirrel quickly realised it's mistake and jumped up a bunch and scolded me , obviously ticked off he screwed up. I just kinda laughed inside.

Well we saw four more deer. One was a seven point. No shots.

Definitely looks like a weasel

Years ago my brother was sitting on a downed log when one came along and hopped up on the opposite end and just looked at him, after it got about 3 or 4 feet away he figured to scare it away so he slapped the tree and shooed it away, must have triggered it because it came at him jumped into his lap, ran up his jacked and bit him on the cheek

It didn’t survive that and it tested negative for rabies so he didn’t have to get any shots but he has a scar where it bit him on the cheek

I would definitely cut that down and put on display in my house

Some of nature’s artwork at it best

Are you sure it's not a meerkat?

I was leaning against a tree once, watching a game trail, bow hunting. A pair of gray squirrels, one chasing the other, ran up my right leg, jumped onto the trunk and continued on up the tree against which I was leaning.

If you ask me he looks putt off with you. He was hoping you were a hunter instead of a gatherer and would leave him a big gut pile with a heart in it.

What a disappointment you turned out to be LOL. He prolly has his fingers crossed that your wife gets it done!
