Is this wheel rim too worn out for use?

Well, of course it is. It's either cracked or entirely missing for nearly half its circumference.
Kind of a humorous story though. A kid I know who lives on the west coast and not being acquainted with salted roads bought this truck online in Massachusetts. He flew back there a couple weeks ago and drove this truck 3000 miles across the country. He noticed it was pretty Rusty when a couple of things fell off somewhere between Chicago and Minneapolis.
When he got home he put the truck on jack stands and removed all four tires.
He was a little shocked when he realized that he had just put 3000 miles on that rim. Maybe it was prayers that kept him going across the country.
This was on a Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 L Cummins, (not a dually).

I've seen one like that - it was stowed up in the spare tire rack under the pickup bed ..
It collected road salt /sand for years ...rotted away

The kid was wondering why it had a "death wobble" the whole 3000 miles; he thought it was a bad track bar.
Kind of convinces you of angels and/or Devine intervention.

The rim, na just look at the sidewall, with a tear like that, Put the song in his head....."the wheels on the bus go round and round"
Either it is an optical illusion ,but that rim has 90* bounced off a curb to put a woarble in it like that.

Can I get 3 more just like it to go on my X wife’s car?

It is scary that someone would sell a vehicle with that kind of damage and let him drive a long ways home.
