Reclaimed Leather Buckskinners Bag - 10/26/20 11:39 PM

I found a 60's Leather Bag at an Auction Sale.
Took all of the Stitching apart. Re-Stitched the bag with the seam Stitching on the outside with 100+ year old 9mm Glass Red Whiteheart beads alternately with 9mm Checlosovokian Glass Cobalt Blue beads.
Brass Beads and Bison Tooth were added by me also.

Nice touch with the beads, are all the whiteheart beads that old, I have some on a buckskin shirt?

I love old leather items like that.Do you put any leather treatment on stuff like that?I use Obenaufs Leather Oil on my knife sheaths and leather holsters and such.

Two lines,

I really have no idea. I just took an old 60's bag and cut it all apart, turned the Stitching seams Out and hand stitched it with doubled sinew and antique glass beads; added a few brass beads and a Bison tooth.

When I found it, it reminded me of a Hippie bag.. so that could be the "wandering" theme.

Now it gets to live again as a Buckskinners bag... so it will continue wandering! wink
