Covid question - 11/15/20 12:10 AM

How does China that started this mess have very few cases compared to us and the rest of the world and Russia has a much much lower rate than us?

Re: Covid question - 11/15/20 12:15 AM

I’ve heard China doesn’t test nearly as many people as us and they don’t report on the numbers they do test.

Russia is much larger than the US with about half the population, so they are spread out more. I’m also not sure how many they are testing and reporting.

The US tests a lot more than other countries, or so I’ve heard. I haven’t researched the data. We also report possible covid positive patients not just confirmed positive.

there is a political advantage for some in inflating our numbers; and between that and VERY intensive testing...we have pretty big numbers.

Makes ya wonder if this was a China induced virus and they purposely released it hoping it would be this way.... possibly they have a vaccine or antidote they gave secretly to their own people first. I kinda am thinking like it has been planned by someone to be happening almost like it is.

China and Biden are both big winners in this election. It would be no surprise if it was proven that China deliberately introduced this virus to the world.

I will take it open step further. Why are the Republicans becoming infected at a greater rate than the other party? Could it be that the crap its in a aerosol can and individuals are walking around squirting it! Some people will do anything for enough money!

There’s a few things. All the Asian countries have lower rates so one wonders if they’ve been exposed to a similar virus in the past conferring some degree of immunity. The other thing is genetics and diet. The US and Europe are similar to each other medically but very different than the Asian countries. That’s why when we analyze medical journal articles we put much more stock in European studies than Asian studies. The populations are fundamentally different.

When the virus broke out in China, their people immediately isolated at home. Some large apartment buildings had their doors welded shut and only essential deliveries were made. Their virus suffered from a lack of new hosts.

In America, we hid the facts and half our population believed our leader that it would all go away. We did not react to the virus the way most other countries did. Other countries did not have external battles between political leaders and medical leaders. They united against the virus. We still have no national policy and many people still think it is fake news. Unfortunately, we have no chance to defeat the virus with no model and and a leader who ignores science and medicines out of spite for those who do.

Would you treat your livestock this way and ignore your vet’s advice. I doubt you would stand by and watch them suffer and die.

I think I'll take our version. Imperfect, but at least we don't have government welding doors shut.

Well, them little buggers can make anything anybody wants. Especially the high quality carnival prizes. I'm sure they can manufacture a virus as well. That's pretty well known by now.

It's hard to implement a plan when the scientists change their mind every week. And it wasn't our leader fighting against using a proven drug. It was the companies that weren't going to profit greatly from it.

Could’ve swore Trump wanted to use a drug that has been proven to lessen the likelihood of death, but was shot down and called stupid.

What makes you think we can trust the numbers coming out of China?

Do you trust the number coming out of North Korea? According to them they have defeated the virus and have zero cases.

In reality though, even the CDC says the actual number of people who might be or have been Covid positive could be 10 times the stated number because many people with symptoms have never been tested, and are merely told to stay at home, drink plenty of liquids, and rest. These people never enter into the statistics. that means the death rate is much lower than reported since they only compare the number of deaths with the confirmed number of tested positive cases.

I know at least 15 people from one particular group that includes me (primarily an ethnic clan) who tested positive during the month of September. At least three time that number within the same group had definite covid symptoms at the same time that positive family members had covid. So right there, in that one case, the number should be three times the reported number.

Of course Covid is real and a concern for some people. However, it has become a huge money and power grab like no one has ever seen before.

I think its pretty obvious by now that no one in NA or anywhere else knows how many are infected. The tests are not reliable. We know that now. Trump isnt responsible for the virus. He did a good job handling it even though he had to fight almost everyone in DC to do it. Fauci changes his mind so often I have no idea how anyone could take anything he said seriously. Trumps biggest mistake was not canning that guy on day one.

Here's an article about South Korea.

Maybe China was similar or they are lying?

Difference between South Korea and the U.S.

Trumps biggest mistake was inaction and telling lies when he knew it was more dangerous than he first admitted. He put his platform before our health. He also defunded research, closed a research virus lab in 2019, and fired some who advised him of his errors. He laughed and mocked those who chose to wear a mask and avoid his events. He worried about the stock market, his struggling businesses and reelection. Everyone of us were ignored. EVERYONE OF US!

The end. I am over this topic. I dislike Trump and Biden. We need someone far better. Stay safe.

You know how the "ancestry" tracing companies can point out where your genetics are from, ever wonder why...? Because there is enough human generic variation, such as the amount of ACE2 receptors, among other things, across different "ethnic" people. Listen to the Chinese defector virologist who describes the covid virus as a "Frankenstein" of "parts" (RNA) from multiple other viruses-- I wonder if she has been "disappeared" yet, even being in the U.S....? The Chinese may not have started covid but they certainly helped fined tune it into a nasty little bug...
