Well there’s a bunch of people on here, a lot of us take a crack at someone or another from time to time. For some reason Patrice is coming to mind, always seems to respond to everyone in a really nice way.

Just off the top of my head I think you'd have to search pretty hard to find something less then pleasant that Nessie has said. His food, bev. and classic car posts are always entertaining, helpful with trapping posts, never a disparaging comment that I can recall, pretty good, clean humour, no obnoxious politics or tin hatter comments.

That's because Patrice cogitates on her every answer without realizing that she is doing so.

Thank you for that, Boco, I really appreciate it. Too many decent people on here for me to single out just one... or even a half dozen. It's a good site and it's the people that make it what it is.

Re: Nicest guy on T-man - 11/16/20 10:56 AM

It is easy to name those that like to get things stirred up. It is like teaching. You always remember the one that gave you trouble. LOL
There are a lot of really nice folks on Trapperman. Really nice folks. While I have enjoyed learning things on the forum, and I have been here a long time, I think the greatest factor is the people. .

This tough as I know I could never remember every kind and nice person, as there have been many.

I have had the good fortune to talk to people I probably would never ever have met. Camron Kellsey (spelling) is in the US Navy and has lived all over. We have great phone conversations several times a year. I think he will be coming up some day and running a few me. Henpecked and I have become friends and I be we run a few traps some day. ADC has got a big heart and is always ready to share or help. Carl aka Beaverpeeler is an awesome guy. Hern is another really nice guy. Todd S. (all the new videos and I can't spell his name) is a nice guy, Jerry the Law Dog always seems wicked nice. Poco, Steeltraps, both great guys. While I do not have Jim Nittany lion figured out I bet he is a heck of nice guy.

I doubt I would have ever met John Graham but have got to know him just a little on the four,. Jtrapper does not seem to post much but I think he is a great guy
Wade the coyote guy has sort of an edge but I think probably has a big heart. Matt Jones? My gosh Jones used to post and what a nice guy, Tim aka Fossil, he does not post a lot and I wished he would more. Fossil is a first class nice guy very willing to share and help.

Sharon and Patrice, my word, absolutely beautiful women, but more importantly, great souls and they offer a lot to the forum. I guess I need to add old or young Paul Dobbins. He has always been very helpful to me and he manages to keep his cool a lot better than I ever could. Rick the bobcat man Olson is a very nice guy. I have called and talked to him on the phone a few times. It would be pretty tough to forget Mike Mechewk, wicked nice guy. Had some great conversations thanks to the internet with some of the boys out West, Red, Taxi, and many others. Randy I love Mink is a pretty darn good guy. Gerald Schmitt, another first class gentleman

There are many many more that I know have slipped my old mind. I know I will kick myself later as I will remember a lot more nice folks. There are countless people that I have reached out to over the years and while they did not know me from a hole in the ground, they were they type of guy that wanted to help others. One guy that seldom posts is Jm Spencer. Pretty hard to find a nicer dude. I knew it. I forgot Jim from Neb. Now back to getting ready to roll.

I give up as I need to get ready to check a couple and go to work.
Have a great day all.

Mac

The more thought I gave to this I realized like several have said, there are more nice guys than not. I somehow have forgot two favorites, Mehewk and JTrapper.
I have had a zillion question sent their way and they are alway happy to chat. This place is a good place to bounce ideas off others.
Lots and lots of guys offer up ideas and share things. It is really quite amazing. I know I still have forgot a lot of guys. One more is Zagger. Good guy.

Re: Nicest guy on T-man - 11/16/20 12:56 PM

Thank you Crit-R-Dun for the honorable mention there's to many for me to pick just one person because of a myriad of reasons this is a great mixing pot of different personalities and idea's that stir one's imagination not only on how to catch a target animal but to prepare it for market or some other end use for these renewable resources.

I'll add to the list JR AKHowler , Pete in Fairbanks , Ken White 17 , Lee S , John USMC 47, Rick Olsen, Rodney Etex and Eric Gov trapper, Mole and Bob Sheedy just to name a few off the top of my head .

You know this is a great way to start a argument but my disclaimer is I'm not as young as I once was and I don't always get enough sleep ha ha .

Mac

Thanks for the nice comments Mac. You are right up there as one of the nicest guys on this forum. Always willing to talk and lend a helping hand.

They dont think much of us over on the canadian trapping site. Now I know why boco hangs out here.

Re: Nicest guy on T-man - 11/17/20 04:29 AM

I attribute my niceness to pure living, a lutheran upbringing, and eating mostly organic foods.

Seriously though, I've never met a Trapperman member I didn't like. Lot's of good down-home folks on here.

I would have to say Paul Dobbins The Trapperman's website is Paul tribute and dedication to his late father Charlie While I know /knew both of them .I did not know them well However when talking to them they made you feel like a life long friend That kind of sense of purpose and can do attitude bring similar type people on board because they feel the same way The collection of all those people that make it a priority to be a part of this group are what make it special

That's a high number. I don't think that it is high enough!
I don't think that just because someone opines strongly about what they believe in should preclude them from being considered "a nice guy".
Nor should one's propensity for poking harmless fun take them out of the running.
Personally, I will not accept nomination for "nicest guy", not for the aforementioned exceptions, but rather for "other" reasons which I do not care to discuss. smile

I concur! In spite of my efforts to rattle him (in good fun and in good taste), I have failed to succeed. That to me, puts him at the top of the list.

Being nice is overrated. I'm typically unfailingly kind to strangers, I hold doors for people and always try to get to know the names of folks behind the counter of the stores I frequent but that doesn't mean there aren't times that I wouldn't love to punch someone in the face.

Why do I feel like this is where a few guys get in a circle and pat each other on the shoulder? Participation trophy?

I'm obviously not the nicest guy on Tman. Honesty goes a long way in my life though.

No I don't think so. Frankly I thought this was one of the most genuine, honest and pleasant threads I've followed on here in a while.

It's who we is.

Or you'd prolly be down at the coast grilling venison with who knows who (sorry LL ;), you know we love you man).

Blessings,

I'm still something of a newbie just going into my fourth year here. I've read plenty of your posts and never came away with a negative thought toward you. I have a genuine fondness for some of the people here. My wife never understood how I could build a meaningful relationship with someone I've never met.

I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about my post there's plenty of good people here. There's members I talk to on a daily basis by message, phone, or text. Some I have for years. Heck I've got Matt coming for his fourth season from Indiana trapping with me and I met him on here. We're great friends.

I just don't think you can judge someone's character based off their internet posting. If you need any confirmation look at PCR. A post to name the nicest person on trapperman is just a kumbaya attempt or a need for self gratification. My opinion of course which means very little in the grand scheme of things. My guess is the nicest guy on trapperman is someone who's read these posts for years and never felt a need to comment.
