Been waiting on this one for a while. Other journals wouldn't even let anyone review it.

I knew it and didn't have to read a study. It's all about seeing how far they can control us. I'm still mask free.

I agree. I had to wear one for the first time today. Finally got in to see the eye doctor after waiting literally months for an appointment thanks to our socialized medical system. Yea the same one your new leaders are ready to shove down your throat.

If a mask helps or doesn't, what is the harm in wearing it? It is not about Trump or freedom, it is about getting back to normal as soon as possible.

No harm at all if a person voluntarily wears whatever they want

When a government thinks it knows best ( most are ignorant) and mandates wearing masks it becomes a problem

If this was a true pandemic people would be wearing masks without being told they have to. Instead of fighting to make everyone wear a mask they should be working on keeping those more susceptible to it safe.

"A high-quality, large-scale Danish study finds no evidence that wearing a face mask significantly minimizes people’s risk of contracting COVID-19."

"Your mask helps protect those around you
COVID-19 spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets. Respiratory droplets travel into the air when you cough, sneeze, talk, shout, or sing. These droplets can then land in the mouths or noses of people who are near you or they may breathe these droplets in.

Masks are a simple barrier to help prevent your respiratory droplets from reaching others. Studies show that masks reduce the spray of droplets when worn over the nose and mouth."

The cdc never claimed mask protect the wearer.

This^ is the kind of thinking that worries me. You are not seeing the forest because you are looking at the tree. Its about control. Scientists have known since the 1918 flu that cloth masks dont filter out viruses. Fauci himself said as much way back in the beginning of this mess. Yet they are mandating you do something they know doesnt work. The question you should be asking is; why?? Did you see that the California governor got caught inside a restaurant with a bunch of other people, none of whom were wearing masks or social distancing ?? Then they lied about it until pictures surfaced. Pelosi, Fienstien, and Cumo got caught in similar situations. Dont you wonder why?? I do. Talk about hypocrisy. They are doing exactly the opposite of what they are mandating that you do!

Call me crazy, bc I am , but I’d think if a government wanted to control me, a mask is a pretty weird tool.

Obviously I don’t buy into that at all.

A link doesn’t make anything true.

I can find articles saying Americans are the dumbest people, written by Americans. That does not make them gospel. Just saying.

I'm sure this will not be the 'final word' on masks.

Re: The final word on masks - 11/19/20 03:38 AM

So I read the study and it states that it’s limitations are: "Inconclusive results, missing data, variable adherence, patient-reported findings on home tests, no blinding, and no assessment of whether masks could decrease disease transmission from mask wearers to others.” This study is a joke.

Its science, not a link. Gold standard as far as studies go. Were supposed to believe science right? Why not this science??

Yukon, I think you would be happier here in the US and Dirt would be happier there in Canada! Perhaps a trade?

I'm with ya. Even OSHA (which is a gov agency) says masks & faceshields won't stop a virus. We're being played

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) recommends mask wearing. "OSHA generally recommends that employers encourage workers to wear face coverings at work. Face coverings are intended to prevent wearers who have Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) without knowing it (i.e., those who are asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic) from spreading potentially infectious respiratory droplets to others. This is known as source control."

Dont think we will have to worry about that any time soon, they are getting ready to lock us down tighter than a drum again. Already starting actually. Since this entire mess started the Yukon has had exactly 25 cases, and one fatality due to covid. Of course anyone with an IQ two points above plant life knows that there are far more than 25 people here who have had it; yet none spent any time in the hospital. Yet we have ruined our economy, and thousands of Yukoner's are not getting the tests/treatments they need for conditions that actually might kill them. I know the same thing is happening in other areas. What amazes me is that they have been able to brainwash so many people into believing its the right approach.

This has happened pretty much around the country. We've had positive cases since March. Our county is over 1000 known cases and I'm sure plenty more. Every person I tested one day in a clinic was positive. Every single one of them. For the vast majority of people Covid has not been fatal. Even those who have needed hospitalization the majority have been treated and released. I've seen plenty of very sick people without Covid that missed appointments, were afraid to come to the hospital, or just didn't receive proper care because of Covid 19 that have either died or will have a shortened life span due to the complications.

It's inevitable I will get it just like everyone else will. Somehow I've remained negative. I've not worn a mask outside of work up until our city tacked a $500 fine and Misdemeanor on a mask mandate just this week.

I sincerely hope everyone who reads this takes their health seriously and does everything they can to get out of this group most likely to be killed by Covid. A mask may prevent you from getting Covid but paying attention to this article can save your life. Exercise and better eating habits will pay dividends for the rest of your life.

When talking about the virus acting tough over something that is obviously killing people is just scary to me. To be oblivious to what is going on is just what will make the virus worse. When you wear a mask but dont sanitize after taking it off that is where they become ineffective. People have to be considerate of people at a high risk of getting the virus and do their part in preventing the spread. A mutation of this virus will come if it isnt taken seriously and a vaccine isnt found.

Here's what Judge Napolitano says about the constitution:
https://www.newsmax.com/judgeandrew...dependence-madison/2020/11/19/id/997751/

Chemists will tell you that mask or not everyone will eventually catch the Chinese virus.

And Joe will probably get back in bed with them.

Um, maybe turn on the news? We have two vaccines now.

Re: The final word on masks - 11/19/20 01:38 PM

I had Covid last week of January near as I can tell. I'm a survivor who has a bit of aftermath that hasn't quite subsided. Feels like being on 100 cups of coffee about 3 days outta 7. The disease itself was 5 good days of bed rest. Flu like in nature.

It seems a virus from some goofball Chinese lab "escaped." I'd rather not have communists playing with viral RNA think you.
We have Chinese theology students (about 50) from China and they do not come from anywhere me and mine would care to live. I think we should have Chinese Q&A's for all these who protest in the name of fairness. They have no idea. I had no idea as I talk with "underground" Christian Chinese who are in grave peril for just studying where they are. I don't know how they do it, but they risk all to do it.

It's humbling to this boy who lives in our great land.
If this nation falls, it will not be good for humankind.
There are some REALLY REALLY evil people in this world and they don't care what you have to say or what you think. In fact, I'd say, they'd prefer you to submit to them or be killed.

Blessings,
Mark

Mark June, your statement about if this nation falls it won't be good for mankind. As a Canadian I believe this to be true, because it is only the US that has the power to be an effective deterrent to "others". If Biden gets in I think of the escalation in the China sea,Hong ,,IMO.Iran and the European front with Russia. Will not be good for the world
