Finally Got Him!!!! (Updated)!!!!

I’ve been hunting this buck for years and it finally happened yesterday evening. His name is “Two Brows” .... he was born April 27th 2012 and weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. and is left handed. After years of watching him grow up on trail cameras and planting thousands of dollars worth of clover and collard greens I got him!




Howdy Boys , Girls and Transgenders.... the saga of ol Two Brows continues !

After taking him over week ago I couldn’t rest until I sealed the deal on “Darlene”

... now I knew Darlene was the common law wife of ol Two Brows because I had pictures of them shacked up in the same bedding area on my deer spy cameras

.. well I’d been hunting her for a while over the collard patch and hadn’t seen anything other than a couple local Blm culls coming into it. Then I realized that I had to change tactics if I had any chance of getting Darlene....

.... well I figured she’d have changed to a mourning pattern after losing Two Brows... and boy was I right.... yesterday evening I set up on a trail close to her bedding area because I knew she wouldn’t be moving very far due to depression from her loss .... and right before last light I got her !!!

Y’all know I’m humble and don’t like to brag.... but this season has been nothing short of amazing.... and I couldn’t have done it without the support of friends, family and deer perv spy cameras

I'm sure you've now started putting in the time to pattern the next one, but that will be hard to beat. Hopefully you have soil tested your feed plots and perhaps invested in the genetics of the local herd to produce the next monster. Perhaps a unibrow?

Awesome Savel!!! I’ve been on a quest myself. After extensive scouting and prebaiting the area with high dollar sunflower seeds I finally got my trophy. Baited corner blind set. Finally had to glue sunflower seeds to the pan. Anybody can catch a mouse but can they catch the one problem mouse. Lol #problemrodentcontrol. Lol

Much respect! I can only dream of killing such a trophy. I'm too poor to afford the $1000 deer stand and bow of similar price that are absolutely necessary.

Congratulations, I had one not as massive as that one but similar years ago, I took the horns and zip tied them to my friends dodge reliant like a pair of Texas long horns, we all had a good laugh over that.

I had to come back to this and see the shear mass he was carrying around again just to make sure it wasn't photo shopped and morphed with an elk. Had to be painful on his neck, I am sure he was suffering and only dreamed of being able to hold his head up to see the horizon. You did that big guy a favor for sure!!

I love this thread, and even though I use trail cams for trespassers, and just for fun, I really do agree with Savell's sentiments. Even as a hunting guide I agree that the whole quest for the biggest of anything is ruining the whole idea of hunting. I wish I could do Brown bear hunts for less than I must now charge. But the whole big-buck$ hunting industry has everyone wanting a piece of the pie. Before I even started figuring in my typical expenses of conducting a bear hunt I must pay the State DNR a Land Use Fee, and a hunter Per Day Fee, and the Borough gets a per hunter and per day fee, then the Native Corporation gets a huge chunk of each hunt for using their lands, then the Alaska Big Game Commercial Services Board gets a big piece of each hunt, and my insurance company wants in on the action too. Just these overhead costs amount to about $3000 dollars per bear hunter.
Whitetail mania and the internet has pretty much ruined a bunch of recreational hunting. I feel bad for the younger folks and people of lesser means.

I'd shoot that unicorn deer in a heartbeat, and not just to remove him from the gene pool. To me something odd like that is a real trophy.

Once they get older than this deer I shot a couple years ago, they only get tuffer. I didn't know this ones name until I ate him, then I called him veal.




Antler worshipers will never know what a good eating Deer is.

It's not something I'm proud of but I am jealous. Publicly I'll act like "I don't care, big deal, anyone could wait four years and tag that; probably came from a high-fence operation anyway" but I can't wait for the video to come out. I'll watch it secretly though when I think no ones around. My favorite part of those vids is the 10 minute drama of tracking the critter 12 yards for the climactic "there he is, got 'em."

identify as a buck. Something about the glazed eyes and somewhat of a sneer on its muzzle.
