Glock 19, buy it or pass

Glock 19, buy it or pass - 11/25/20 01:57 AM

I've been offered by a fellow officer a Glock 19 for $450.00, with case and two 15 rd mags. I'm tight on funds, but could swing it. Should I snatch it up with the uncertainty coming for the next 4 years? Thanks, Sarge

I'm no Glock 19 expert , but that's like puting 450 bucks in your safe

Prolly go up in value

450 is a good price.

If it doesn’t have a lot of wear, I’d buy it

What generation?

I was told by one of my Captains that GT Distributors has them new at a similar price. May be worth checking into if you can find a catalog.

Gen 3 or 4?

that is a fair price for a used but in good shape Glock 19 in either Gen at least by 2019 numbers in 2020 while they may be unobtainium it may be better then fair

if it has a lot of holster wear you could a year ago have a G19 Gen 3 for 500 and a gen 5 was 550

I like the G19 but shoot it better when it has Mag pinki extensions I wear XXL gloves https://www.amazon.com/Pachmayr-Grip-Extender-Glock-Full/dp/B07BLH37JW

any idea how much use it has seen Gen 3 replace the recoil spring at 3K rounds and Gen 4&5 5K rounds the Gen 3 spring is about 10 dollars the 4&5 springs are about 25-30

Gen 4. $450.00 total. No taxes involved. Well taken care of. He's needing the money. Sarge

If you can afford it, I recommend buying it too.

Keep the proposed tax stamps in mind. May want a revolver. But sounds like it's a private sale so mo worries. If you want it buy it.

I have several more expensive carry guns and all i carry now is my glock 19 with the pachmyer extended grip piece on the mag floor plate. I have a gen 5 and it is accurate and eats anything.

Considering the possibilities, buy it even if it is tupperware.

I tried shooting a 19 and had to switch to a 17 because of how i held my support thumb touched (barely) the slide release and it caused malfunctions. So maybe im a strange ranger on this, but something u might wanna try shooting before u buy. Also, hoping you have 9mm rounds because you wont probably find any.

I believe i'm going for it.

As far as ammo. Several thousands of rounds ready to go and the capability of about 5,000 more if needed. I seen this coming about 5 years ago. Been stocking up on ammo and components so I'm good for a long while. Sarge

So you work in law enforcement also? If so find a place that sells blue label glocks. You can get a new glock 19 for 430 at my local gun store with your LE/MIL/FIrst responder credentials. I've bought many glocks thru the program.
