.35 Cal Remington Cartridge? - 11/25/20 08:58 PM

I am well aware of the current guns and ammo shortage. But is the .35 Remington an obsolete cartridge? Are any manufactures chambering their current line in this caliber? Was is hard to find boxes on the dealers shelves before the current shortage?

before the current shortage about all i could find for it was the leverrevolution which works well out of my contender barrell.

Remington corelokt. My local shop only carries it around hunting season. That's when I stock up.

As for guns, not sure but I think "Remlin" still chambered.

.35 is still around, but like everything else hard to find now. I would see it on the shelves but not high volume. I shoot a lot of the Remington corelokt, but reload the leverevolution, which is an absolute game stopper.

Traditions chambers their Outfitter G2 singleshot in it. I've had mine for a few years now and absolutely love it! With leverevolutions I'm about 2" high at 100yd and about 3 or 4 low at 200yd. Marlin did chamber their 336 in it, but I don't know about now after the recent dispersal. I've been able to find ammo fairly well and when not I can order online or through my local sporting good store.

I just saw Remington factory loads with Core Lokts ( didn't notice bullet weights) at my nearest gun emporium this morning. At least a dozen boxes. We're way out near the end of the supply line, so if we've got them, they're probably available elsewhere. Had a hunting buddy years ago who used his 35Rem Marlin for moose and blacktail deer.

leverrevolution made my 35 a 200 yard gun which was a 125 yard gun before that. 1957 version of 336......jk

if you don't reload you might want to

presumably you have been saving your brass

if you don't care to reload when you do find it buy a lifetime supply they have it in stock right now https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1001788346?pid=290443

it is made in limited seasonal runs by Hornady and Remington. With Rem out of business and not expected to make a round under the new owner for 2 years it might

Buddy purchased a Henry lever action in 35 Remington. Shoots the Leverrevolutions accurately and he harvested a forkhorn this past Sunday. Hardly any type of ammo on the shelf at our local gun store!
