I have the Remington 550-1,,wich is basicly the same rifle ,but in semi auto.It says shorts, long and long rifle on the barrel and it will cycle all of them flawlessly.I would like to see a modern .22 do that.I too would like to scope this rifle,,but I think I will have to have it drilled and tapped. So I will be watching this thread.
How in the world can a semi-auto with a tube fed magazine be the SAME as a bolt action rifle (different action and magazine fed)? Also.the 511 has a one piece stock and the semi autos are two piece stock.Basically the same, like "we went to different schools together!
