Sad to say,so many on here don't even know who you are talking about. Johnny Carson was the main vehicle for Rickles and other commedians.
I miss all of them.

I hated Rickles then, and don't miss him now.
I don't think there was ever a time when being an insulant jerk was cool. I don't care if you did smile when you said that.
At least, if he were around today, he wouldn't have to worry about Covid. There is no way anyone could ever get a
"positive" out of him.

1950's or before Tv shows with a 3 channel Tv and lines rolling through it, the Tv channel station sign off display at around 1:00 a.m. and concluding with the National Anthem. . . . oh, and you got the News from reading the daily paper each morning. 75 cents per week delivered through rain, sleet, or snow!
