Yeah, it's a Ulu stone knife. Depending what part of AK you found it in will most likely determine what AK Tribe it came from. :-)

Wouldn't think something like that would be above ground. Unless you put it there for a picture. Nothing but two specks of dirt on it.

I've found many ancient stone artifacts on top of the ground. Even concrete blocks will rise up after time due to ground shifting and settling around them. Arrowheads are commonly found in fields after a hard rain around here.

Its It's on the west end of Unalaska a 10 hour boat ride from Dutch Harbor. It's still there if anybody wants to look for it. There were burial caves on the cliffside. It would have been cool to go in one but that was a no no.
