I was wondering if deadfalls are legal to use in Wisconsin and in other states if so do you use them?

Iowa and Illinois are illegal or last I heard they were.

Hard to regulate them so they're illegal here in Wisconsin.
I like the "grandfather" traps with a figure 4 trigger.

Couple of good books on the subject on project Guttenberg

Interesting.
Are there any type of restrictions? I figured out of all places Oregon would outlaw them.

Illegal here in Minnesota but I did use them as a kid to put meat on the table
If made right they can be very effective, drawbacks are that they can be hard to move and require more time and effort to make and use the a modern steel trap
But they do work
