I enjoyed a lot of Mr. Eastwood's westerns and movies he starred in and directed. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I loved Eastwood as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide so watching all of his westers was a slam dunk including the awesome remake of Unforgiven. I was surprised how much I enjoyed him playing the grumpy old man in Gran Torino and a smuggler in The Mule.

I guess he could play about anything but a gun grabber and I am sure he could have done that too but he has entirely too much character!

Put out great movies about how a man is supposed to act and that men can set around and pass Mr. Eastwood one liners. He didn't whine and belly ache like the sissies on TV today. He did his job, went to the bank, and acted like a man! What did you do today?

I would rather watch any of his movies than any football game. I like him because Hollywood hated him because he told them that they were a bunch of phonies. Have you ever notice he never won any awards for any of his work.

He fought the swamp his whole career , and won .
He didn't just act , he was a filmmaker , handling every aspect of of his films usually .
He was digging swimming pools after Rawhide went off the air when a
director from Italy doing a low budget movie offered him a part ,
He built his fortune from there , That alone is pretty admirable as far as I'm concerned .

I saw Gran Torino in the theaters when it first came out. The language almost made me blush and I'm not that squeamish to it at all.
Every version I've seen of it since , even the DVD is toned down. The original screen version was very ripe. When I was watching it in the theater I was amazed the censors didn't throttle it.
