Just got the official word today that the Fallon sale was cancelled. There was just no way to pull it off with restrictions in place, insurance requirements, etc. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

If the OTC can keep their schedule there will be a ton of fur there. Two sales in March are still planned last I knew. Both of them to be held in Prineville.

That’s too bad about Fallon. That is always a huge sale for cats. Probably a lot more fur sold at the tagging stations. Guys aren’t going to count of Klamath. Lots of guys got burnt last year when Klamath got canceled at the last minute.
Hopefully 6 weeks from now, things will be better but one never knows.......

It is unfortunate that the Fallon sale has been cancelled. At least by cancelling well ahead of time, it gives those that would normally sell at Fallon a chance to come up with other options for selling their fur. A last minute cancellation throws everyone and everything into chaos.

As the sales get cancelled, its important to donate some of your fur money to your association. The Fallon sale is great from us Trappers, but that commission money is very important for the Association especially since we are going into a legislative year. They fight hard to keep trapping the way it is and will need all the help they can get.

Not to hijack this thread, but for those of you that would normally sell at Fallon and are now looking for another option, the 2 Oregon sales are still on at this point. That could change before the sale date but let’s hope not.
Prineville - March 6-7
Klamath Falls - March 25-27
If you are looking at the OTC web site - IGNORE the message about Klamath being cancelled!! That message is from March 2020 - last years sale.
Another option is the ITA sale at Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho in March. Glenn’s Ferry is between Boise and
Twin Falls. Their first sale is this upcoming weekend, January 16. Should be interesting.
