Foreign country - 01/15/21 09:17 PM

Flew into Lost wages last night , driving home in the morning . I'm allergic to big cities so the 800 Mile drive home through the desert will be refreshing .

Staying in the Venetian

Owner Sheldon Adelson ( just passed away a few days ago ) was a big Trump supporter . I would have stayed in the Trump tower had I known it was here .

A clam producer in Florida ships small clams every day to Vegas. The clam size is called a pasta clam. It is too small to be legally harvested, so must be farm raised. They are culls that are slow growers.

There is your Vegas trivia for today.

AntiGov, enjoy yourself in LV and the ride through the open spaces home.

Do they still have a scripture verse on the side of the In-N-Out Burger bag's? About 15 years ago, I told a work colleague from another (West Coast) location, who had volunteered to me that she was a witch the year before, that she might "burn" if she touched the In-N-Out Burger bag when we were getting up from lunch. I think a dodged a bullet on that one, I'm sure I would have been canned nowadays for that comment, probably back then as well grin

It was a nice place that I wouldn't normally stay at , but with covid deals it wasn't too bad

I think there were 25 restaurants just inside this one hotel

At one of the cheaper food court joints , a bottle of water was 5 bucks and a bottle of beer ( bud light or Coors ) was 8.95

I'm glad I was only there for a day or I would have went broke...lol

We got a late start outta Vegas or could have made it in a day . it's about a 13 hour drive Total I think

We ate at the Pig BBQ and pub . Wasn't too bad and the people working there were really nice .

My record time from Bend to Reno is 5 hrs 32 minutes

A guy I knew who passed away many years ago claimed he made the Bend to Reno trip in
In 4 hrs 45 minutes . This was back in the late seventies or early eighties I believe . He was running a 69 GTO
