Blessed tonight?

I reckon I am! Nothing special, but spent the day hanging with my wife and 9 year old daughter. Just came in from putting up some coon. My adult kids and grandaughter are coming over tomorrow. Life is good.

70 years old, can still get around well, deer and squirrel hunting, trapping and fishing, wife of 34 years - and taking no medication - BLESSED!!!

Spent the day finishing setting traps. Right now sitting beside a fire with my wife, two sons, and daughter-in-law. Don’t know what could be better.

Got my first Covid vaccine this week. Makes me feel better.

If after my morning prayers, I make it to my wood lot and cabin without getting stuck in the new snow. Bag a couple squirrels and the cabin is ok, I will feel good. Spending 3 days next weekend there. Looking forward to a mid winter stay at the cabin, even if I have to hike in a couple miles.

Cows, Chickens Dog, cat and 2 Grandkids fed .but not in bed yet.

I feel Blessed every day, The Lord has been way better to me than I deserve.

Truck had a brake caliper hang up, furnace quit.... again, Daughter and grandson are heading home in the morning. I sat back, took a breath and thought about the folks that have it bad. Life is good! Just a few bumps along the way.

Every day my friend! God truly blesses me each and every day. All praise to him.

It’s bumpy lately but nothing that we can’t recover from. My kids are healthy, we have enough to eat and our roof don’t leak. I’m having a tough time finding work, and our renter hasn’t paid since October, but luckily we had some money put away before covid hit so we’re ok for now.

Blessed indeed.

Oh and I’m 1 year, 4 months and 24 days sober, so there’s that too.

This is me about 5 mins ago holding my first and only newborn daughter, Brinnley. She decided to come about 30 days early so going to spend a little time in the NICU, but doing well! I turned 41 in August. My screen name actually had nothing to do with being a dad until today. It has been a long road to get here. We had several
failed attempts over the past couple years. To say that I'm feeling blessed is a bit of an understatement right now.

two weeks ago my unborn daughter and wife were with me snatching up coyotes.. Brinnley wasn't due until next month but I think she was wanting to get here before the end of this years trapping season for one last line.

Thanks! I'm a pretty proud pappa at the moment. Amazing how much different life looks after looking at your newborn in the eyes for the first time.

And speaking of wives and blessings, mine had her oncologist check up last week. Three years cancer free now.
