Vortex scope issue? - 01/25/21 04:53 PM

Have any of y'all had any issues with Vortex scopes not holding point of aim issues. I have one and can not get it to zero in for nothing.

Yes, I used a Wheeler scope mounting kit, and went back and double check everything when I couldn't get it to zero.

I’d call vortex, their customer support has always been great for me

Could also have tightened rings too tight. Vortex recommends 18 lbs. torque max. Also they have great warranty work if they can't fix it they will send a new one even if it's your fault.

That's my plan, just wanted to know if anyone here had had an issue.

I had a brand new Leopold I gave up on. I did some reading and it mentioned to tap the turrets after moving. So, I broke it out this year and that sucker is shooting like it’s nobodies business. Ended up taking several deer and hogs with it this year.

On the newer positive click adjusters, this is no longer needed.

Had that issue once it was a hassell but I took the rings completely off and one of the two bases was loose.

I have a diamondback( vortex) been good. Going to sell it though. That model is made in China. Going to put an American made scope on my rifle.

Never had that issue with a Vortex.

I destroyed a early Crossfire on a 45-70. Rattled the crosshairs loose. I sent it in and they had a new one in my hands within a week.

I think I currently have 4 Vortex. Great scope for the money.
