Today I lost the best friend I ever had. We were very close for over 50 years. Worked together for over 20 years.
Countless days and nights spent together hunting and fishing. The campfires we shared are countless. An all around outdoors-man. Loyal to a fault, his word was his bond. A great tree has fallen.

Lost a buddy to cancer a few years back I keep his funeral handout in my turkey vest every year it brings me comfort maybe it will help you also.

Treasure those memories and don't ever take that relationship for granted. While many people may have a solid circle of friends through their lives I bet it's not that common for individuals, particularly males, to truly connect with a companion sole mate for life.

Campfire memories is what I call remembering a friend. How often I have stated into the embers and gotten lost in thought of good friends and better times. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care
