found some old leather belts and holsters, leather is good, they just have some moldy spots.

I've used saddle soap. But if the mold has been there a while you'll have to kill it first. It has "roots". Any of the household sprays that are for mold and mildew should work. Bleach if you don't care about the color.

vinegar works great Then when dry you can put a leather oil or whatever on.

Dawn and a brush, then rinse in warm water. Make sure the leather has plenty of time to dry and make sure it dries shaped the way you want it.
Then oil both sides. I never wipe off the excess I put it in the sun and the leather will absorb it all.
