Anybody know what this "tool" is or what it is used for?

Manufacturer would be a bonus

Pretty sure it’s a T post puller but I don’t know why it couldn’t be used as a stake puller

It's a little tall for pullin stakes but it would work. It is made to pull t-posts when you only have one or 2- if you have very many you get the bucket tractor out

Take a chunk of 2X4 steel tubing cut a slot in it so it slips under the stake head put a bolt/chain on the tubing then use the t puller for stakes.

Has anyone used one and can tell me how it is supposed to work?

That is what I was told it was for but I spent 30min with a t-post trying to figure out how it would attach

Never used one- but here's where I would start:
1: Place the jack parallel with the T-Post, with two welded slot brackets inserted into the bottom of the T configuration
2: Lift the fulcrum handle all the way up and attach the bracket slot on the chain to the handle
3: Secure the opposite end on the chain to the lowest ground level point of the T post
4: Push down on the handle - pulling the post from the ground.
5: Pick-up testicles from the ground and repeat

Tool has been ID'd

Hustler stick, used for auto body repair

I don't feel like an idiot for buying it as a t-post puller though since the majority thought that is what it was laugh

I have used a handyman jack with a chunk of chain to pull stakes in wet years before that froze down.
