Was looking at one in .357. 2.5 inch barrel, blued, for $750. What's the opinions on it? I know Rugers are hard to beat. I have a couple of different models. Looking for thoughts on this. Never had a DA before.
they are a very solid gun , that price seems high Ruger has MSRP at 719 times are strange but to exceed MSRP seems odd , maybe it is just the times..
if there is a complaint it would be that for it's size it is heavy. but heavy helps with 357 recoil also.
is it a Double Action only with a bobbed hammer or does it have a hammer you can pull back?
it was available in both blue and Stainless
Regular hammer. Was thinking it would be a nice carry piece when I want more than a .22, but don't want the weight of a .44 mag.

I have the 2.25” and 3” model. Great guns. Very solid. Price is high. Last one I bought was around 575.00 back in oct- nov.
Great guns. I've owned 3 through the years. They are the only small frame .357 that will handle +p+ 180 grain bear loads. All other brands get bound up doing that.

Had the older version, Security six, solid gun, very accurate, I'm sure the new version is too.
They hold value like the Titanic, but they run forever. Scrounge the gunshows to find a deal on a used one--not uncommon to see them go for half of MSRP.
I got a S&W 641 spl +p. My first revolver, if I was to do it again I would go with the S&W 640 magnum. I could still shoot 38 spl.
No hammer to get hung up. Great carry weapon. They are hard to find now. JMO
