I wanted a chance to see how everyone has had good catches and see what they have got you can post pics of some of the coolest catches and kills of the season
I got this today. The only cool part, that I can think of, is that I have caught about six fox on the same trail in the Phragmites that lead to a field. And the catch circles finally made it to the water.
had not land trapped since 2007 and thought i would give it a go this fall..72 coyotes, 4 skunks,11 red fox 9 let go,4 coons, 2 porcupines, and one jack rabbit..

Nice of you to give those dogs a break when the coyote market was hot. Probably would have just put you in a higher tax bracket.
I love that fisher pic 20scout i wish i could trap one i was thinking about driving to monroe county wv and try to get one if the wardens say i can in that county but a fisher is my dream animal to catch

We have a six day season and that guy was caught in a set ment for bobcat three days after the season closed. Released him in hopes to catch him next year.
I took a few months off from work that year and chased a dream. Ever since I started trapping it was a goal of mine to break 1000 muskrats in a season. We dont have the numbers of rats in my area that were historically here. It was a lot of hard work both in the field and in the fur shed that year but I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank god I had my dad around helping me skin and put up fur every night. I couldn’t have done it without him. We ended the year with 1,615 rats. I can’t wait for the opportunity to have the time to trap at that scale again. It was definitely a learning experience. Thanks for the kind words!
Only got to trap one week, then seriously injured myself skinning a coyote. Jumped down on it a little too hard I guess. Tore my right pec tendon off of my arm/shoulder. A few pins in my arm bone, pulled that sucker back over and they stitched it to the pins. Got a nice zipper scar, about 20 staples. 6 weeks later its reattached and I'm working hard in PT to get full use of my arm back by oh, say, July or so. Next season I've already got myself an electric hoist for skinning. Can't wait! Anyway...end of season pics for me...a one to remember. Sure had a lot of fun with my sons that short week while it lasted. Cant wait to get healed up and get back at it next year! (Pics are taken in a mirror...it is my right arm I injured)
