Havent see him post on here in a while. Is he OK?
I know he has his own trappers board. I havent been there in a while.

Enjoy his books.

I sent an email to him recently to check on him and Miz. He said they're both doing good.

Hal is a homey around here, he comes to a lot of our trapper meets.

His column, "The Trapline" in the January FFG was interesting. It was about him and Charles Dobbins trapping beaver in Tennessee back in 1994 and getting shut down due to an "arctic blast" that froze everything solid.

If he can't trap during arctic blasts, probably shouldn't come here to trap farten.

The cold isn't the only thing that might deter him.

I'm betting frozen Southern roads and highways are a problem more so than cold trapping.

I haven't read the article. Running a canoe line and waking up to thin ice sucks and in the south it really sucks because it's not going to get much thicker.

I enjoy reading his stuff too. His articles not only teach, but are entertaining as well.

True, the roads never freeze here.
