They know as much about reporting the news so why would that statement hold any water today. Years ago they would of just reported the weather.

News consultant Andrew Tyndall has even been quoted comparing ABC News meteorologist Ginger Zee to a pornographer because he believes she fails to properly contextualize events. His observation may be over-the-top, but the general thesis that meteorologists can and should lend perspective is valid. Indeed, there needs to be a big shift in the way weather news is presented. Unlike sports or politics or other topics where there is little opportunity for people to act upon content, weather news is organically service-oriented. Which means it can be life-saving, too.
Too bad we can't just get the news without the reporters spin on it!. I guess the cave men caused the glaciers, where was the tree huggers back then when we needed them?
