We had William F Buckley Jr.
Then Rush.
Now we desperately need the next giant voice for conservatism.

I agree. I am very sad about this, event though I knew it was coming.
I have listened to Rush Hudson Limbaugh since 1990. Nobody will ever replace him. He was a pioneer in the industry and was a brilliant conservative mind. He had the courage to say what so many of us were already thinking. He did not need to convince his audience that he was correct, he often just pointed out the not-so-obvious. He was not in it for the money or the fame. He needed no more of either of those. He was dying of cancer and was very sick for the last few months, yet he did the program as much as possible, not for his own selfishness, but for his listeners.
He will be missed.

Rush wasn't my guy. Just didn't interest me. But I did think it was pretty funny when trump gave him the medal of freedom during the state of the union. He essentially forced every Democrat in congress to attend Rush's ceremony , and to act respectfully during the ceremony. You know some of those Democrats heads were steaming. Epic trolling by trump, I thought it was pretty awesome.

RIP Rush.
I think many don’t realize how trusted the man was. People think he was just ahead of things intuition wise when a lot of the knowledge came from sources who had to remain anonymous. He never broke that trust. He carried a lot of water for all of us. What a great testament to his character.
Seems God just called in the marker on the talent out on loan.
I’d also like to give Rush a kudos on the amount of money He raised during his life for charities. Vets, Wounded Warriors, cancer research, children’s hospitals, plus enormous amounts of his personal funds donated.

Re: RIP Rush Limbaugh - 02/18/21 02:49 AM
I just don't have words for how great a loss I feel. Yes, this was expected but it is a loss that can never be replaced. Brother Rush was probably the greatest patriot of the last century and did more to speak to the ideals and principles our founders gave us. Call it conservatism, republicanism, constitutionalism or what have you but it was the American Dream personified daily on the radio for three decades to millions daily. I shudder to think what could have been had not God blessed us with this great man.
I pray we that benefited from his life will carry his message forward to victory.

Re: RIP Rush Limbaugh - 02/18/21 02:50 AM
From his Cape Girardeau heritage to the Golden EIB microphone it was ALWAYS a pleasure and insightful to listen to Mr. Snerdley's partner.
Donna and I will both miss his radio program. A lot.
Russ was simply a premier, one of a kind marvel in his radio broadcast industry.
Class act.
Intelegencia on display.
And what a wit!
As the old pass away, we pray the young will be up to the task at hand.
Russ sure was and then some.
Blessings,
Mark

Re: RIP Rush Limbaugh - 02/18/21 03:01 AM
I will miss him dearly. Being honest I have gotten no better satisfaction than turning on his show when I knew there were libs around that would just about bust at the seams having to listen to him. Funny part has always been they couldn't argue with his wisdom. He had to have spent more hrs researching than anyone I can think of. His team of sources were always spot on. I always got the notion he still checked and dbl checked everything he was told before airing it.
There will never be another with his courage or his determination to get the truth out.

I listened to Rush 30 or so years back. I liked what he was saying, but, soon got fed up with his sarcastic, narcissistic blowhard delivery.
Well, over the years something changed. I don't know if it was his delivery, or my perception. In the last few years I became a steady listener, and really appreciate those very same things except now they show up clearly as his sense of humor.

30 years ago Rush was building his audience and the "shock jock" shtick attracted ears to listen. They definitely attracted mine. I miss the days of caller abortions, daily updates and bungee condom "ads". He was a riot in the early days but never strayed from his core mission of getting the message out.
My favorite update was his world peace updates.

Kind of throwing it back in their faces.
