Montana Victory , At Last !

Montana Victory , At Last ! - 02/19/21 05:15 PM

Sure wish this could happen to all of this beautiful country...we Montanans worked hard on this , calling and encouraging the state reps .

The Tman Tribe could use good news, to celebrate with us Big Sky country.

Gov. Greg Gianforte signed House Bill 102 into law. HB 102 expands Montana's gun rights by allowing permitless concealed carry and permitted concealed carry in more places.

102 was sponsored by Rep. Seth Berglee For Montana ( photo above, to right) an Army veteran who served in a combat deployment to Afghanistan .
Senator Ken Bogner ( left) , a Marine Corps veteran who served in two combat deployments to Iraq, was going to sponsor a similar bill this session and joined Rep. Berglee and others at the bill signing. HB 102 is the product of the Senate , House, and Governor working together to ensure Montanans maintain the right to self-defense.

Eliminate dangerous soft target " gun free zones". Permitless carry, banks , campus, restaurant carry, also enhancement for those of us who have permits ,to access state and local government offices as well.

The bill also limits restrictions the state university system can place on firearms , on college campuses, including MSU.

I have heard that FLA has been shoring up with other states to make a protective firewall against the onslaught of Marxist agenda that is now aiming at the Constitution in the form of "new laws" , EO, etc. in it's hatred of we the people , to disarm and control. On a state by state basis, in the process of forming a cohesive defense . Montana is a perfect ally for this along with the rest. Would be a good idea to inquire of your state officials and share this , if they don't already know about it. I am not sure of the details that FLA's Gov has in mind, but I'm sure they are good.

Below is a link to the bill .

This whole country should be this way. I cannot ever imagine any of the western states , with such rich history in hunting, trapping, and our rights in self-defense , to be any other way. No doubt this battle isn't over , to retain our Constitution , but this sure is a grand start.

An armed society, is a POLITE society ....

If you don't need a permit for any of your other Constitutional rights then you shouldn't need one for the 2nd Amendment.

You bet , meant to be ! grin

One concern about that pot stuff....that will never be a concern for me, but for those who plan on mixing the two subjects together , could be problematic if you are ever pulled over by LE. The choice out of those two for me, is a no-brainer.

Congrats from one CC state to another. They told us Maine would become a shooting gallery if CC passed. Didn't materialize. That still doesn't deter liberal legislators from trying to circumvent or undermine our state and federal constitutions.

The Maine Constitution on the right to keep and bear arms.

Section 16. To keep and bear arms. Every citizen has a right to keep and bear arms and this right shall never be questioned.

Maybe James can find the nuance in there.

That's exactly right, Golf Ball, but you know how these people meet in community hearings, and push for tearing apart the rights all Americans should have.

I can see the obtuse mentality for real education of the facts that anti-hunting, trapping , anti gun , etc groups have , though there still is no excuse for them shooting themselves in the foot in trying to tear up our Constitutional rights.

What really disappoints me is when police districts are run by those who also want to disarm law-abiding citizens. Those types are more in Democratic run cities and states , but amazingly , there are some in rural and western states also. Not many though. And certainly , a number of precincts and LE groups have changed from their support from the left to when Trump was in office....seeing clearly how he supported them and the 2nd A.

There is not an officer in the outback, that I've heard of or known, that hasn't fully supported law-abiding citizens being armed. They have all known of someone or experienced it themselves, of citizens not hesitating to come to their aid the times they struggle with someone who has them down and trying to get their firearm.

When I qualified for my Montana and Utah CCWs, one of the first reasons I gave when asked why I was applying, was to be a help to officers in times of need. The expressions seen were priceless.

When the BLM thugs were roving through parts of Idaho and MT, local citizens worked in seamless dovetail tandem with their police departments . They were in contact all the time and everyone knew where everyone else was as they protected their towns .

That was never a better demonstration of how disciplined citizens worked with their police .

Education , as well as seeing the disaster of government now, will continue to make inroads with individuals , one mind at a time.
