My buddy was cleaning out some old storage cabinets in his shop and found this . This building has been a mechanics shop for at least 65 or 70 years . But it could be from anyplace.

Golf Ball, since you are obviously active on the forum, why don't you clear up your question about headspace????

Yup, I have one as well. I believe it's a railroad tool of some sort.

A guy that calls himself golf ball should know it is a golf club.

Not sure exactly what it is but if found in a mechanic's shop I can confidently wager a small sum that it was used to separate ball joints.

I prefer the impact model wink

Lol , I don’t golf . BT if I get up there tomorrow I will get a better picture of the “ head “ of the thing , it is kind of blocky not tapered. It almost looks like it was made to pry or twist something.

Looks a lot like a tool we used for "twisting" frames on cars and trucks. Back when they had real frames under them.
