At least they'll know what side he's on... - 02/22/21 02:18 AM

My sky jumper military son just got back from being outside of the US borders for "a while" and just got out of their mandatory covid "quarantine" so he decided to go get his first ink. Most of these young warriors have ink and his best bud has a lot so my kid decided to get his own. Something that really means something to him so he decided on this old but still relevant symbology. At least the enemy will know what side he's on....P.S. Somehow he's gotten self-conscious in giving nice smiles for photos unless you catch him off guard. He's actually a pretty happy, go-lucky young man.

P.S.S. He likes to trap, probably has better technique than his old man, at least in setting snares...

Rangers are no easy day. The kid thought about going to Ranger school but decided (I think) just to stay a regular sky jumper.

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. He's wanted to be a soldier for a long time. He's hoping if he re-ups, he can make a deal for Alaska. They have a few sky jumping, black Stetson wearers up there as well. He thinks he'd love up in the wilds of the big, north state!!

Good looking ink on your paratrooper son. I hope he can get to Alaska if he wants. I had Alaska on my "dreamsheet" for 11 years, never got there. He should be able to re enlist for it. BTW my Dad said the same thing "I liked it better when you smiled". Thank him for his service for me. AIRBORNE.

lestan101- Yeah, I hope he's not too disappointed if the Alaska thing falls through. As you know, the military can always throw people curve balls. What division/regiment were you in, if I can ask...?

He had to retire, hitting the ground at night ruined his knees and back, I figured he would do 20 years
