Everyone always said buy guns that are common calibers/gauges lol. 5mm is one of the few you can get ammo for about everywhere still.

I wish they would make a few new models. I looked into what it might take to convert a 22mag and if I understood it right Remington played hob designing a chamber and extractor cut that fully contained the rim to avoid case rupture.
I think something like the old marlin levermatic would be a good all purpose critter killer from tree rat to hog.

Good point. Been trying to figure out what to do with this gun for years. It was my moms. Maybe I’ll just buy up some ammo for it. Also got a .17 center fire.

Timing was off if it would have been introduced now with the new cartridge craze of the last couple years probably been a big seller
