Stimlous checks

Wonder how long till paper checks go out ? 2-3 months ? Hope get mine by then

Should of got direct deposit, bank told us we will have ours this week or next for sure.

Maybe he doesn't pay his taxes, lol. Got ours yesterday.

Got our deposited yesterday.

Or he actually does. I write a check to them every year because I am self employed. They would not have a bank account to put it in. 73% of Americans get tax returns. Most never pay tax. LLL

I think it was reported that those getting stimulus by check ,would get them mailed to them by the end of this month.
So you shouldn't have to wait much longer Dave.

Yes, at least 2-3 months, maybe more if they get lost in the mail.

Even dead beats get a check. If you owe back taxes, you get a check. Because stimulus money is designed to boost the economy and give a lifeline to those in need, the IRS will still send you a check even if you have outstanding debts. LLL

I pay taxes an not deadbeat, just wondering, why should direct deposit get it first, the last one took 6 weeks to come mail , poor ppl get there's last , I guess some direct deposit ppl can spend there's an be all gone right away, just ssking, don't know who else ask, not like be attack on heee

Direct deposit gets directly deposited, that is why it is first. The rest have to be mailed out.

You need to get with the times man. You're constantly shooting yourself in the foot.

Probably because it takes 30 seconds to click a button on the Internet to send the direct deposit.... versus a lot more time to design, print, separate, envelope, address and stamp envelopes?

It's no different with tax refunds. You get yours a month sooner if you E-file versus requesting a check!

I am wondering how this round will go for me. I have filed electronically for over 5 years. The first one came via direct deposit. The last one came via paper check very late.
I am a little concerned because I have gun shows to go to tomorrow and next week! Totally stressed out about this.

The IRS is way behind. In fact there are paper returns from last year they haven't gotten to. These stimlous payments are putting them even further behind. I wouldn't be counting my chickens anytime soon Dave.

He stays where he's at because both jobs are part time and he can trap all he wants because that's what he wants to do. As for your knee please who doesn't have something hurting . By the way if it is so bad how do you manage to crawl up and down those ditches you trap after working?

And when it does come you will have to pay taxes on it.

Each of my stimulus checks get deposited late. I got my first round check in November or October.

On a side note. Read where if you owed back taxes or had an outstanding judgement against you, they had first dibs. This 3rd check didn't have the same wording as first 2. Government is trying to fix it so it goes to the people. So I'm sure that will slow down problem ones even more.

We filed our taxes around the end of February last year and didn’t e-file. We got our state income back in late August. Got our Federal back in mid September, lol. Think we’ll e-file this year and see what happens, lol. It dang sure can’t be any longer of a wait.

Evidently it costs more money these days to get stimulated. Them womenz don't pay no attention to ya when you lay a dollar on the stage. They like the 5s and 10s better. Man the cost of beer done went up too. Must be inflation.

Go on to the IRS website and go on their tracker and enter your ss number, birthdate, address and zip code. Easy peasy on your phone.

Let me be honest. If you have to depend on the government for your ability to survive, you have bigger troubles than you are admitting.

My 2 sons showed up yesterday, the first 2 they had to wait until they did this years taxes to get it. One is 20 and other is 19. Both work.

Always did my own taxes b4 this yr but had a cpa do em this yr along with filing them electronically and got refund week later! Figured that worked out pretty quick!

You don’t get a check if you spell stimulus incorrectly. If you aren’t a troll I’ll be so disappointed in society...

Dave, people willing to have direct deposit of funds get their's first because their information is in a database and the funds are transferred digitally all handled by the IRS. The government doesn't send paper money to the bank, it's all taken care of by digital accounting.

Those not wanting to give up their information have to wait for the government to dump the tax information to a second database, transfer the database to a printer, print the checks, double check the checks are correct, insert checks into envelopes, and then transfer the mail to the postal service. We all know how slow that is these days. So the government punishes those thst don't give up their info electronically in the form of processing delays.

Stimulus check is a drop in the bucket to what we’re all about to get taxed. It won’t even come close to covering it.

I was defending you Dave. I never said you were a dead beat. For clarity I said those who owe back taxes AND deadbeats will get a check. If you do not have a bank account now a days there is usually a reason. LLL

I would think if you pay them from a checking account that you could have gotten direct deposit to that account

That's what we do. They (irs) just keep dumping money into it. Gotta love it!!!

So a person making 75k gets nothing or prorated from 75k up?

First 2 were direct deposited, this one showed up in the mail today as a check. A week after they posted an update on irs website.

Single, 75 k is the cutoff for full amount about 80 and it's nada.

Redistribution is when they take from one group and give to another. This is just making money and distributing it to buy votes.

I coulda sent it back but its a new 5hp mercury outboard now. It almost was a partial payment on a nice flintlock.
