That looks like a lot of fun...And like you say, a good way to transition the hard water to open water period. I can't imagine traveling over that much water and not fishing!!! You should try trolling those pressure cracks!!

Been looking at a neoteric hovercraft.The reverse feature seems pretty handy after watching this video!

This one has a variable pitch prop. It technically has reverse too, but no steering in reverse and can't act well as a brake.
