Strongly disagree..... Fritos could be considered one of the worlds greatest food achievement. Great with bean dip and even greater dumping them into a big bucket of chili. Worth the couple thousand steps to work the carbs off
I think I was 16 or 17 when that song came out and still listen to them during my workouts at 53. One of the young therapist next door to our gym was in with a patient and pulled my ear buds out wanting to see what an “old man” listens to while they workout...she was quite surprised, lol. I like AC/DC and Molly Hatchet for workout songs as well.

Working out needs aggressive music for sure. Five finger death punch, disturbed and avenged sevenfold for me. Throw in sabaton for cardio.
Grumley— I vote for Defenders of the Faith as my favorite
Its a good one, British Steel is another...the riff in Metal gods is hard to beat, even better live. I've seen almost all the bands mentioned in this thread, I'm getting old...lol
Similar story here..... the owner of the gym here looked at my phone..... then wondered how a guy listening to Helloween and Motörhead could move so slow on a treadmill. !! LOL
Even 50 here by the way—and seen most everybody mentioned as well
Metalliqueer was a sell-out before it was a thing. Corporate Mtv rock. Nuthuggers. Iron Maiden is a socialist, commie band...despite "run to the hills" being a low-key fave of mine, but only for the drumwork, insane. Bean dip is for pillow-biters, what was the other thing?
The ONLY good thing about Iron Maiden was the posters, album covers and T Shirts. Those were kind of cool. Their music however shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Metallica.
But, I do agree with the comment above that Metallica dropped off big time with the haircuts.
Cheetos are purdy good with sour cream and chives beside a ham sandwich and Geo Striat is the King.
None of yall will ever change my mind and if Chris Ledoux was still around he might tell ya the same. I think Strait was still recording a few cowboy songs when Ledoux passed, but he sure hasn't lately.
Well after wading through this mess this morning I’ve made a couple of conclusions:
1. I think Savell probably paints his toenails and reads poetry to flowers at the Park 2. Leftlane is some sort of food terrorist—sour cream on Cheetos .... you need help
3. Nearly all off us can agree that older music from most of the bands mentioned is better than the newer material —.
Like Grumley, I listen to nearly everything with the exception of rap and hip hop.
Oh, Big City Nights gets my vote for best Scorpions tune— World Wide Live best album
For a concert band Iron Maiden has it hands down. They actually run real close to beating out Alice Cooper for a stage show.
Pure energy in concert Maiden again. Metallica got a lot better with the addition of Trujillo.
Pure aggressiveness. Metallica.
Song content. For me it's basically a tie. Maiden got more into the social injustice end of things if you listen closely to the lyrics. Metallica touches on a lot of mental stuff.
With all that being said... If I'm driving down the road to go hunting or fishing and pick up 2 CD's I'm putting in a Metallica one. Nothing like pulling into a packed parking lot with "Creeping Death" cranking and watch everyone turn and look at you funny. If I'm just out tolling around I'll put in Maiden.
If you have a chance take a listen to Iced Earth's song "Gettysburg". It's a long long long song that basically go through the whole battle. It's amazingly done.
Now I must admit--I have listened to Nugent. But then again he started in the 60s Journey to the center of the mind--when he was with Amboy Dukes. Very good song. Tom

iron maiden puts matallica to shame over 40 years together and still touring and putting out music, matallica is used up years ago. fritoes are good for starting fires with. banchee

Must be a Kids on the Block fan.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh....lmao. Thats funny there...and it was Vanilla Ice. Lmao! I just couldnt get into but a few Metallica songs, but i digress... They brought it out.
I always forget how many great songs the Scorpions had. Im better with songs than artists. Edit...and bean dip is gnarly, just had to add a nutkick as well. Cant get into beans. Not good with stuff that looks that it's already been passed.
I listen to all types of music from bluegrass to bock except rap and hip hop. But always play the old black sabbath and led zeppelin at work. Metallica and maiden are right there to. I get funny looks when somebody comes up to me with metal playing in my shovel with my grey hair and all.
