I’ve been asked to trap some muskrats in a pond. What bait/lure world be best if I needed it?

Never had any success with parsnips or carrots after 'ice out', at least under water.
Now, above water. . .
I’ve heard of apples being used too, have you guys had any luck with them?

Gland lure this time a season , floats apple bait , 110s or colonys or 160 s set underwater trails, I wish we had spring rat in Iowa statewide
