It's also the little bassturd that likes to do deer imitations in the leaves directly behind and out of sight of you in the tree stand. LOL

Yup I have a resident one here in the garden doing the same antics. Those towhees are sure some characters at times.

a Am. Redstart would never be on the ground but be in the lower canopy halking for insects and a much later migrant.

Yup , Towhee, they are sure cool to watch while sittin in the Turkey blind.
