Biggest/smallest beaver in the '20/21 season - 04/10/21 03:45 PM

My smallest was 16 lbs & biggest was 55. Curious about yours. I weigh all mine. It helps me keep track of my catch at a specific lodge. 11 is the most I got at 1 lodge this season (I'm so shocked at 11 beavers coming from 1 lodge that it's possible some might have been drifters, as it was located in a larger river system). So 16, 55, & 11 are my 3 key numbers from this season.

AJE I do not know about the smallest beaver I caught, young of the year. But I caught several very large beaver 65+lb this season.
I trapped a run-off pumping ditch for the local gravel pit last fall. One large hut on it and quite a few bank holes. This channel is maybe 60 yards long and 10-15 feet wide. I caught 12 beaver there and 1 day I found one floating (13).

Small one was real small, maybe 12-15lbs, I didn't weigh that one. Largest was 58, female.

Once they get over 50 they are fun getting to the truck. I can't imagine 65+. Cool.

Biggest was 63.77 pounds. Smallest was the last of the season, 15.35 pounds. I typically don’t weigh many beaver, unless they are extra large or small.

AJE I have been very fortunate to be able to drive really close to some of my beaver locations with the Tacoma.
