With all the weird things you guys eat...

Do any of you guys eat beaver castor? I know some one here has! Just wondering how you prepare it.

Do you take the castor out and mash it with your mashed potatoes?

Do you snip the center and fry the two sacks like fish roe?

Do you batter and deep fry like a chicken nugget?

Do you make an Alfredo sauce and pour over pasta?

Do you stick them on a stick and cook them like a wiener roast?

Do you give them a little heat and eat them 90% raw like some eat their steak?

Boiled?

Are you high again ? lol

Roosters have been crowing at 4:30am the past few days. Not sure why so early lol.

I have a grouse on a old log outside camp again this year. Starts drumming 430 445 drives my son crazy. I enjoy it myself but I'm usually up by then anyway lol.

Just let them dry and eat like jerky.

Had an old trapper buddy from some years past that has long been gone now. He lived up in the woods and had an old 250 gal. oil tank sitting behind his old trailer house. He had a ruffed grouse that would fly up on that old oil tank and drum his little heart out early in the morning.

I remember the first couple times he heard it. He called freaking out thought his trailer house was under attack from something.

Funny incident. Of course you had to know Albert to make this all more entertaining, which I did.

I do the twice baked castors with cheese, horseradish and wild leeks.

I've eaten crow before, probably the weirdest thing I've eaten.

Grind up the castors and mix with butter. Then smear it on a thick slice of Spam.

I don't think I'd eat that stuff but I do rub a little behind my ears if I am headed to the dance hall. Chicks dig it (the drunk ones anyway)

One old fella I talked to around here years ago said they used to eat a small piece of castor for medical purposes I cant remember specifically for what.

I believe they use it for vanilla ice cream flavor too.

Soooo...when you eat asparagus and it makes your pee smell like asparagus....
